Creedence Clearwater Revival - Looking Out My Backdoor

From what I understand, this song is not about drugs, it is about something on the lines of a childrens book, his son, and the imagination of his son. Which sounds about right. But then, I always get thrown back at the lyric "take a ride on the flying spoon". Does that not sound like a cocaine reference?

Anyways. I love this video for its grittiness, which CCR have mastered. Also, At the beggining of this video, you see John Fogerty, sitting there, smiling. Behind him is a picture of himself, smiling, wearing the same clothes. What I am wondering is, was this picture taken hours before they filmed this video? Guess I will have to use my imagination.
